An extraordinary journey to witness the total solar eclipse on 2 August 2027

Experience a fascinating journey that brings two worlds together: sunny Andalusia with its rich culture, stunning landscapes and culinary traditions, and colourful Morocco with its oriental flair and captivating Atlantic coastline.

From Málaga, the journey takes you through the heart of Andalusia, via Granada, Seville and Jerez de la Frontera. Visit the world-famous Alhambra, discover the rich tradition of sherry-making and gain fascinating insights into one of Spain’s most important agricultural industries during a visit to an olive oil farm.

You’ll then take the ferry across the Strait of Gibraltar to Morocco. In Tangier and the picturesque coastal town of Asilah, you’ll find an oriental atmosphere, historic old towns and Mediterranean coastal charm.

The highlight of the trip is undoubtedly 2 August 2027: in Asilah, weather permitting, you’ll experience the total solar eclipse, when the moon completely covers the sun for several minutes. A rare natural spectacle set against the unique backdrop of Morocco’s Atlantic coast.

  Andalusia is the undisputed heart of global olive oil production. More than a third of the world’s olive oil comes from this region in southern Spain. The dry, sunny climate and nutrient-rich soil provide ideal conditions for this crop, which has been cultivated for millions of years. The predominant olive variety is the Picual, known for its robust, slightly bitter flavour and high antioxidant content.
